Für “Bleib bei Dir” fotografiere ich mich selbst in den Kleidern meiner Mutter Burga, die am 1. Mai 2019 gestorben ist. Diese fortwährende Arbeit erzählt von ihr und mir, von unserer Verbundenheit, vom Abschied und vom Bleiben. Die Bilder entstehen in und um unser Familienhaus und in dessen Umgebung. Sie sind auch eine Hommage an diesen Ort. Hier bin ich mit meinen Eltern und Brüdern aufgewachsen, hier fühle ich mich zuhause und hierher kehre ich immer gerne zurück. 

STAY WITH YOU, SINCE 2020

For my series „Stay With You”, I photograph myself in the garments of my mother Burga, who died on May 1, 2019. This ongoing work speaks of her and me, of our bond, of taking leave and of remaining. The images were created in and around our family home and its surroundings. They are also a tribute to the place. It is here that I grew up with my parents and brothers, here that I feel at home and to here that I will always like to return.
